Angela Crock joined the Academic Affairs staff in November of 2004 as an academic coordinator. She provides personal and academic counseling for approximately 250 Olympic Sport student-athletes, including monitoring of NCAA eligibility and University academic guidelines.
Some of her responsibilities include assisting with the first year student-athlete orientation program, hosting recruiting and informational sessions for prospective student-athletes, compiling the All-Athletic Department Grade Books and co-coordinating ceremonies honoring Athletic Honor Roll student-athletes during football and basketball games.
Crock joined the UVa staff after serving as the Director of Student-Athlete Support Services at the University of New Orleans from 2003 to 2004. She previously worked for the National Football Foundation as an Academic with the Play It Smart Program and at Tulane as a mentor in 2003.
Her previous collegiate experiences include working as an academic counselor at Massachusetts and Springfield. She graduated from Baldwin Wallace in 2000 with degrees in psychology and sociology. She earned her master's degree in Education from Springfield College in 2002. Crock has had concentrated training in the areas of substance abuse and addictions and compulsive gambling.
