Talented athlete who will lead UVa in the sprint freestyle events ... one of the top freestyle sprinters in the nation ... one of 15 Virginia swimmers named to the ACC 50th Anniversary Men's Swimming and Diving Team in 2002 ... a 13-time All-American, including three first-team honors in 2002 ... a 17-time ACC champion ... school record holder in the 50 free (19.64), 100 free (43.08) and 200 free (1:36.54) and the UVa Aquatic and Fitness Center pool record holder in the 100 (43.65) and 200 free (1:36.54) ... a member of UVa's school record setting 200 (1:19.78), 400 (2:55.41) and 800 (6:28.73) free relay teams.

2003-2004- Did not compete collegiately ... trained in Irvine, California for the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials under the tutelage of Dave Salo ... a dual lumbar stress-fracture in February curtailed his training efforts for the Trials ... finished fourth at the 2003 US Open in the 50 freestyle ... was fifth in the 50 meter free at the 2003 U.S. Summer Nationals (22.96) ... competed in the 50 free at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials.

2002-2003- A four-time honorable mention All- American ... placed 12th and 13th in the 50 and 100 free at NCAAs to earn two honorable mention certificates ... broke his own school record in the 50 free with his lead-off swim in the 200 free relay (19.64) ... swam the breaststroke leg of the 400 medley relay that won 11th-place at the NCAAs ... also swam on the 12th-place 400 free relay ... ACC title-winner for both the 50 and 100 free events ... was a member of the winning 400 and 800 free and 400 medley relays at the ACC Championships ... selected as a Men's All-ACC honoree ... finished 13th in the 50 free, eighth in the 400 free relay and swam the 100 free at the 2002 Summer Nationals.

2001-2002- A six-time All-American, including first-team honors in the 50 and 100 free and 800 free relay ... was sixth in both the 50 and 100 frees at NCAAs ... helped UVa to an eighth-place finish in the 800 free relay in a school record time of 6:28.73 ... an honorable mention All-American in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays (11th) and 400 medley relay (ninth) ... helped UVa set the school record in the 400 free relay with a time of 2:55.41 in the preliminaries of the NCAAs ...
