UVa Career Bests: 200 Fly (2:01.56), 200 I.M. (2:01.77), 200 Back (2:01.81), 400 I.M. (4:18.46)
A talented butterfly and individual medley swimmer ... will be asked to make major contributions in the butterfly and I.M. ... could also swim the 200 backstroke ... could challenge NCAA qualifying standards in several events ... ranks fourth all-time at Virginia in the 200 I.M., and eighth in the 400 I.M, and 200 butterfly.
2005-2006- Was an ACC finalist in the 400 individual medley and took seventh place (4:24.46) ... swam in the consolation finals of the 200 backstroke and was 12th (2:03.03) ... set a personal record of 2:01.81 in the prelims of 200 back ... was 17th in the 200 I.M. with a time of 2:04.02 (the eighth fastest time in the finals session) ... named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2004-2005- Just missed earning All-ACC honors in the 200 I.M. after finishing fourth at the ACC Championships ... swam in the ACC finals of the 400 I.M. and finished seventh ... also swam in the consolation finals of the 200 fly at ACCs ... an ACC Academic Honor Roll selection.
2003-2004- Just missed earning All-ACC honors with a fourth-place finish in the 400 I.M. at the ACC Championships ... also made the ACC finals in the 200 I.M., finishing fifth and swimming a career best time of 2:01.77 in the prelims ... made the consolation finals of the 200 fly (ninth).
Prep & Personal- A High School All-American ... MVP of the Marist School swim team ... four-year letterwinner ... a 2002-03 Scholastic All-American ... 2000 Junior National champion in the 100 breaststroke ... invited to the 2001 National Select Team Camp ... placed 14th at 2002 Nationals in he 200 I.M. and finished in the top 16 of the 400 I.M. ... has been a member of the Swim Atlanta club team since 1993 ... daughter of Mary Beth and Brian Corgan ... born Oct. 17, 1984 in Atlanta, Ga. ... a 2005-06 Student Athlete Mentor and will serve in the same capacity in 2006-07 ... majoring in psychology.
