2004-2005- Earned first-team All-America honors for the first time in his career by finishing sixth in the 1650 free at the NCAA Championships with a career-best time of 14:56.24 ... also earned honorable mention honors at NCAAs for his 16th-place finish in the 500 free and as a member of the 800 free relay that finished 13th ... also competed in the 200 free at NCAAs ... earned All-Conference honors in three events at the ACC Championships ... finished second in the 500 free and 1650 free at ACCs ... placed third in the 200 free at ACCs to complete a Virginia sweep of the top three spots in that event ... swam a lifetime best 15:36.78 in the 1500-meter free to finish fifth at the 2005 ConocoPhillips Summer Nationals ... won the "B" final of 400-meter freestyle (3:55.62) to finish ninth overall at the World Championship Trials and also swam the 200 free (33rd) ... recipient of the Hardest Worker award for the men's squad.
2003-2004- Earned honorable mention All-America honors for his 14th-place finish in the 1500-meter free at the NCAA Championships ... also swam in the 200 and 400-meter free events at the NCAAs, finishing 39th and 19th, respectively ... earned All-ACC honors in three events at the ACC Championships by finishing third in the 200, 500, and 1650 free events ... placed 20th in the 1500-meter free and 24th in the 400 free at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
