UVa Diving Coach Fafara Retires

Dave Fafara, longtime Virginia men's and women's diving coach, announced Friday he is retiring from coaching. Fafara held the post at UVa for 18 years before officially deciding his business interests were becoming too time consuming to devote the time necessary to coach. |

Mellors Wins Gold with Record-Setting Swim
Pat Mellors, a fourth-year member of the Virginia swimming team, won the gold medal in the 400 individual medley Monday at the 2007 World University Games. The event, which is being held in Bangkok, Thailand, commenced last Wednesday and runs through Aug. 18. |
