INDIANAPOLIS, IN--Virginia school record holders Tomika Ferguson and Erin Crawford both competed in the USA National Track and Field Championships yesterday in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ferguson finished tenth nationally in the triple jump with her leap of 41' 5" (12.62m). Crawford advanced to the semifinals of the 400m hurdles with a 58.49 in the first round, where she finished fourth. In the semifinal round on Saturday, Crawford finished seventh with a 58.80 but did not advance. Ferguson and Crawford were both All-Americans in the 2006 season, with Ferguson earning the honor in March in the triple jump and Crawford being so named in June in the long hurdles. Both athletes set the Virginia record in their respective events this year.
