Lauren Swierczek enters her third year as the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Virginia, but has been a part of the Cavalier program for seven years.
Swierczek's responsibilities with the program include organizing travel plans, arranging speaking and personal appearances for the players and coaches, exchanging video with opponents, and supervising the team managers.
Prior to joining Debbie Ryan's staff as Director of Basketball Operations, Swierczek earned three letters as a player for the Cavaliers. During her senior season, the team won the ACC regular season title and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16.
The Wallingford, Pa., native graduated from Virginia in May 2000 with a degree in sociology.
