The University of Virginia women's basketball team will embark upon an international excursion next week. The Cavaliers will depart on Tuesday, May 22 for a 10-day trip to Senegal and the Canary Islands. The trip is sponsored by World Wide Basketball, Inc.

The tentative itinerary includes four days in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, a tour of Goree Island and Bandia Wild Animal Park, as well as two basketball games. The second half of the trip will be spent on the beautiful island of Gran Canaria. In addition to two basketball games, the Cavaliers will enjoy sunbathing, shopping, and tours of the islands.
