Rogers is active in the national and international women's lacrosse communities at a number of different levels as a statistician, official, administrator and coach. At Virginia he serves as the statistician at women's lacrosse games and maintains the school's records.
At the international and national level, Rogers serves on the USLacrosse Board of Governors and is the Chair of the United States Lacrosse National Teams Squad Committee as well as the Chair of United States Lacrosse Publications Committee. He served at the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations' Under-19 World Championships in 2003 as the statistician at the women's games and a member of the Player of the Match committee. In 2005 at the IFWLA World Cup he served as the Official Scorer of the Championships and also served on the Player of the Match Committee.
Rogers is the Chair of the Communications Committee for the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association and has written the official statistics manual for the NCAA and has also developed the official recording sheets for games. He is the official statistician at NCAA events and has compiled the national records in all three divisions. Rogers also compiles the daily scoreboard for women's lacrosse and coordinates the IWLCA national polls. He is also the Sports Information Director of the American Lacrosse Conference. Rogers also publishes a history of the NCAA women's lacrosse tournaments each year and has compiled an extensive history of early intercollegiate lacrosse. Rogers has been instrumental in the development of a number of awards presented by the IWLCA, including the Diane Geppi-Aikens Memorial Lifetime Achievement, the President's Cup, the Community Service and Scholar-Athlete of the Year Awards, and he is currently a member of the IWLCA Awards Committee.
The editor of The Draw, the Collegiate Women's Lacrosse Yearbook, Rogers is a frequent contributor to national lacrosse publications and has written numerous features focusing on women's lacrosse. In 2002 and 2003 he received the womenslacrosse.com award for Outstanding Screenplay, recognizing the individual with the best game recaps in the nation.
Rogers has also served as the color commentator for NCAA Lacrosse Championships on HTS and a consultant to various networks. He is also the former United States Women's Lacrosse Information Director.
A rated official, Rogers has also officiated both high school and collegiate games as well as at national tournaments. He serves as the local commissioner of officials for the Blue Ridge Board, and has done a number of training sessions for both officials and coaches.
Rogers also serves frequently as a clinician of the sport around the nation and was named Coach of the Tournament as the 1999 Vail Tournament. He has taken his team to the final game in both his appearances (1999, 2001) at the annual event.
