Amanda Freed Named Assistant Softball Coach

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Virginia head softball coach Eileen Schmidt announced Tuesday that Olympic gold medalist Amanda Freed has been hired as an assistant coach for the Cavaliers, completing Schmidt's staff. She will begin her duties Sept. 15. |

Virginia Softball Tryouts Scheduled for Sept. 11
The Virginia softball program will hold a general tryout on Tuesday, Sept. 11 and The Park softball field. Students should arrive no later than 4:45 with the workout set to begin at 5 p.m. |
